If by any chance you happen to be visiting the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA then you will be able to view a restoration project which has been two years in the making. Joseph Lister had his own hospital train to transport patients from Chicago to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota in the 1920’s.
The railway car first arrived at the museum in 1988 in a very rusty and dilapidated condition but after a grant was received in 2019 it underwent a major restoration.
All the furnishings and seats and other fittings were recreated to bring it back to life.
